Construction Equipment Guide

Nortrax hosted a Logger Appreciation Day in celebration of John Deere’s 175th anniversary Aug. 16 at the Crandon International Off Road Raceway in Crandon, Wis. More than 400 customers attended the event that included a live cut demonstration.

The location was a perfect hillside vantage point so customers could watch all the machines work together in the hardwoods at the same time. Machines in the demo included John Deere 753JH and 703JH tracked harvesters, John Deere 1270E wheeled harvesters, John Deere 160D with Waratah 616 head, and a 1210 8-wheeler, 1010 6-wheeler, and 1510E forwarders. Also on demo was the Morbark 3800 chipper and 4600 grinder. Lunch was served in the woods and the evening concluded with a special John Deere 175th Anniversary reception at the racetrack’s main pavilion.
